Terrorist attack in Pahalgam; Air India reduces ticket fares, offers free rescheduling and refund options

Following the devastating terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Air India has announced relief measures for passengers. The airline has significantly reduced fares for flights from Srinagar to Delhi and Mumbai. Additionally, Air India will not charge any fees for cancellation or rescheduling of tickets for these routes. The airline stated that this decision reflects its commitment to stand with passengers during this crisis.

Passengers wishing to modify their bookings can contact Air India's AI-powered chatbot, Tia, using the hashtag #SrinagarSupport, or call 080 4666 2222 / 080 6766 2222 for assistance. Currently, Air India Express operates 80 direct weekly flights from Srinagar to Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jammu, and Kolkata. Furthermore, it offers one-stop services to 26 other destinations, including Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Agartala, Ayodhya, Chennai, Goa, Mumbai, Patna, and Varanasi. Air India Express has assured its passengers that they will receive full support during this difficult time in Pahalgam.

The terror attack in Pahalgam has resulted in the tragic death of 29 people. Initial reports suggest that the mastermind behind this attack is Saifullah Qasuri, a notorious terrorist belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba.
