Indian Airlines Issue Advisory After Pakistan Closes Airspace; Route Changes Announced

Following Pakistan’s closure of its airspace, Indian airlines have issued a travel advisory to passengers, stating that flight routes will be altered to avoid Pakistani airspace. As a result, changes in travel time are expected. Airlines expressed regret over the inconvenience this may cause to passengers.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had shortened his visit to Saudi Arabia and returned to India via an alternate route, bypassing Pakistani airspace. Pakistan’s decision is seen as a retaliatory move in response to India’s recent diplomatic actions.
As part of the measures, Pakistan has canceled visas for Indian citizens and denied Indian aircraft permission to use its airspace. Additionally, Pakistan has announced a reduction in the number of diplomatic staff from both countries to 30 and declared that it will cancel all bilateral agreements with India, including the Simla Agreement.
