Rafale and Sukhoi Jets Join Forces in India's 'Attack' Air Drill, Heightening Pakistan's Tensions

The Indian Air Force’s (IAF) advanced fighter jets—Rafale and Sukhoi—took to the skies together in a major military exercise named ‘Attack’, intensifying tensions across the border in Pakistan. Conducted in the central sector, the drill focused on enhancing India’s offensive capabilities across mountainous and land terrains.

This high-level operation involves coordinated strikes on ground targets and training in complex electronic warfare tactics. Aircraft from multiple airbases, including those in the eastern sector, participated in the exercise, showcasing India's widespread air dominance in South Asia.

India’s air superiority is further reinforced by the deployment of cutting-edge missiles such as Meteor, as well as long-range missiles like Rampage and ROX, making the IAF a formidable force. The timing of the drill is significant, coming amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

The exercise is being closely monitored by the Air Headquarters, with top IAF pilots and highly qualified instructors taking part, sharing expertise and enhancing combat readiness.

The IAF had previously demonstrated its offensive strength in 2019 during the Balakot airstrike following the Pulwama attack, using Mirage 2000 jets. With the induction of Rafale aircraft since then, India's air strike capabilities have seen a substantial boost.
