Tourists, including Malayalis, stranded in Arunachal Pradesh due to heavy rain. Landslides and rockfalls triggered by the rain have left them in distress. A group from Kozhikode stranded in Hayuliang reported that they are unable to communicate with the outside world due to power and internet outages in the area.
The tourists said that all routes have been blocked due to continuous heavy rainfall over the past two days, and they have been staying in a homestay in Hayuliang for the last three days. Although they tried to go outside yesterday, landslides prevented them. It is suspected that another group of seven people may also be stranded somewhere.
Sujatha and Sai Lakshmi, who are among those stranded, have appealed for help. They also added that the conditions at the homestay are poor.
