The Indian Army has reported that Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement along the Line of Control on two consecutive nights. The firing by Pakistani forces was unprovoked. In response, the Indian Army retaliated strongly.
This violation comes amid escalating tensions between the two countries following the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives and left many injured. On the nights of April 25 and 26, the Pakistani army allegedly made a deliberate attempt to provoke the Indian forces. An official army statement revealed that several Pakistani military posts across the Line of Control in Kashmir opened fire without any provocation.
The Indian Army responded appropriately, according to the statement. No casualties were reported during the exchange of fire. Meanwhile, India has instructed all Pakistani nationals who entered the country through the Attari border to leave by May 1. Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strong words promising to track down the perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack “to the ends of the earth,” India is now moving toward taking firm action against Pakistan.
