Amritsar:
A street in Amritsar has been named after the late humanitarian Chaman Lal Bhalla, who was renowned for his selfless service to the visually impaired. The newly named 'Chaman Lal Bhalla Lane' was inaugurated in a ceremony attended by several prominent personalities from both India and the United States.

U.S. Congressman Tom Suozzi and New York Senator Jack Martins conveyed their greetings through video messages. Former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, Om Parkash Soni, officially inaugurated the street by cutting the ribbon.

As part of the event, a donation of ₹50,000 was made to the Amritsar Institute for the Blind, and certificates of appreciation were presented to members of Bhalla's family. The ceremony served as a celebration of Bhalla’s noble legacy of compassion and service.
