Israel Bows to Trump; Recalls Fighter Jets; Ceasefire Comes into Effect

Reports say that following instructions from U.S. President Donald Trump, Israel recalled its fighter jets and the ceasefire came into effect. The move came after Trump contacted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the phone. Trump confirmed that Israeli fighter jets operating over Iran were returning.
Trump had advised Israel not to proceed with further attacks on Iran. After Israel announced plans for a new airstrike, Trump expressed concern, posting on Truth Social: “Don’t drop those bombs—bring your pilots back.” He also stated he was dissatisfied with the actions of both countries, expressing particular disappointment with Israel.
Meanwhile, Iran reported that 610 people were killed in the Israeli strikes. Israel accused Iran of violating the ceasefire agreement, while Iran claimed its attack took place before the ceasefire officially began. Despite Israel’s threats of retaliation, Iran maintained it did not breach the truce.
