Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was admitted to the hospital

On Wednesday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was examined for dehydration and admitted to the hospital "out of an abundance of caution," according to a spokesman for his office.
While a severe heat alert was in effect, the 74-year-old Democrat from New York was at the Senate gym in Washington.
According to a Schumer representative, "Leader Schumer was at the Senate gym this morning and got lightheaded." "Out of an abundance of caution, he went to the hospital to be treated for dehydration and is now back at work in the Capitol."
Schumer, the spokeswoman continued, "wants to remind everyone to drink some water and stay out of the heat."
