"Why dream at all when realisation lies beyond the boundaries of the possible ?" While talking about Indian Volleyball anybody will ask so.But Paruchuri Sisters P.Radhika and P.Nagavardhini are still confident that India can do wonders in Volleyball court provided adequate support has been assured.
Paruchuri Sisters rather Indian volleyball legends, Nagavardhini and Radhika, hailing from Guntur, have etched their names in history by achieving top honors in international volleyball coaching. After having an illustrious career as international players, the duo has now made a mark as elite coaches.
P. Radhika, currently an officer with the Indian Railways, Thiruvananthapuram Division, completed the prestigious Level 3 Coaching Course from the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) in Montenegro on June 29, 2025. This makes her the third Indian woman and the first woman from Kerala to attain this certification. Her sister, P. Nagavardhini, was the first Indian woman to have completed the course (in Thailand, 2024), followed by Hema Kelkar. Both Nagavardhini and Hema are with the Central Railways.

Radhika began her coaching journey in Kerala 14 years ago, after receiving her Level 1 certification, and has since contributed immensely to women volleyball in the state. She has been residing in Kerala for the last over 15 years. Both the sisters have played for Railways, and their home state Andhra Pradesh and for the nation in various competitions. Radhika represented India inCentral Asian Zonal Championships (1999, 2000),Asian Championships (2000, 2002)SAFF Games (2001) .In SAFF India won gold.Other than for SAFF the elder sister Nagavardhini was also there in the Indian team.
Their father, Basaveswara Rao, and mother Rajyalakshmi have been a strong influence in their journey. The sisters have dedicated their recent achievements to their late father, who passed away in 2010. Their legacy continues to inspire young athletes, especially women, across India.
"We have many talented players, but we are lacking to develop volleyball to high level. And, for that we need sufficient infrastructure, latest technology etc."Radhika said. Both the sisters are set to use their level three achievements in coaching, nurturing new talents. Support from government and Federation is the need of the hour.
