A Testament to Enduring Love💕

Mumbai: In the Nanded district of Maharashtra, a woman has engaged in a legally and culturally significant act of marriage with the body of her deceased lover, who was tragically slain by her father and brothers due to caste-based animosity.

Anchal Mamidhwar is a young woman who has formalized her union with Saksham Tate by marrying his corpse and has expressed her intention to reside in Saksham's residence as her daughter-in-law, adorned with vermilion on her forehead. She met Saksham through her brothers, and their acquaintance blossomed into love. However, due to their differing castes, the individual's father and brothers vehemently opposed their relationship. Despite threats, Anchal persisted in her affection. When the family discovered their plans to marry, Saksham was murdered by her father and brothers. This incident occurred on Thursday evening, beginning with her brother Himesh shooting Saksham in the head, followed by his bludgeoning Saksham to death with a brick.

On the following Friday, during the last rites, Anchal arrived at Kamukan's residence, where she applied turmeric and saffron to her body and forehead respectively, and engaged in a marriage ceremony with her deceased lover. She declared her intention to remain in the house as his wife. Anchal stated that her love had triumphed despite Saksham's death and that her father's and brothers' actions had been unsuccessful. She has called for the death penalty for those responsible for Saksham's murder. Anchal emphasized that her marriage was a testament to her enduring love, even in the face of death. Six individuals, including her father and brothers, have been apprehended in connection with the crime.
