Tommy Hilfiger to publish memoir

With an experience of 30
years in the fashion and lifestyle industry, iconic American fashion
designer Tommy Hilfiger is set to share his journey with the world via a
memoir.
Brand Tommy Hilfiger, which is owned by PVH Corp, one of
the world’s largest apparel companies, has announced that Hilfiger will
publish a memoir with Ballantine Books, an imprint of Random House,
said a statement.
In the book, Hilfiger will chronicle personal
stories from his early childhood and formative years, his origins in the
fashion industry, the setbacks, triumphs and sheer determination that
drove him to build a multi-billion dollar global lifestyle brand.
“Reflecting
on my experiences in the fashion industry over the last 30-plus years
has been a wild ride, filled with milestone moments that have defined
both my career and personal life,†said Hilfiger, 63, who is known for
offering the classic, all-American style through his apparels and
accessories.
“I always believe the best is yet to come, but so far, it’s been the adventure of a lifetime,†he added.
“I’m
thrilled to publish Tommy’s personal story. After three decades in the
business, he’s never lost his curiosity or entrepreneurial spirit. Now
he’s ready to reveal the man behind the brand and share his wisdom with
readers of all generations,†said Jennifer Tung, vice president,
editorial director for non-fiction at Ballantine.
The memoir's publication is scheduled for Fall 2015, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Tommy Hilfiger brand.
