OPEC daily basket price closes higher
Vienna, Feb 2
The basket of 12 crude oils
of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) closed
almost a dollar higher at $44.83 a barrel Friday, compared with $43.88
the previous day, the OPEC secretariat said.
The OPEC reference
basket of crudes is made up of the following: Saharan Blend (Algeria),
Girassol (Angola), Oriente (Ecuador), Iran Heavy (Iran), Basra Light
(Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria),
Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE) and Merey
(Venezuela). One barrel of crude oil equals 159 litres.
