Ghaziabad AAP convenor sues Shazia Ilmi
Noida, Feb 3
The Ghaziabad convenor of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has sued ex AAP and presently BJP leader Shazia Ilmi.
In
a defamation case filed against Shazia Ilmi, Thakur Davendra Singh
alleged that she Jan 21, 2015, in an interview to a private TV channel
alleged that he slapped a girl during her election campaign in
Ghaziabad.
According to Singh, Shazia claimed in the interview
that when she complained about it to Manish Sisodia, he also ignored it
and said Singh was his man and had to be kept in good humour.
Her concocted allegations have damaged his and his party leaders Manish Shishodia and Arvind Kejriwal reputation, Singh said.
Therefore,
he served a legal notice on her Jan 24 and 27 at her Greater Kailash
residence which she had received. But she has not apologized for her
act. So being forced by her ignoring attitude, he has filed a petition
before the court.
Singh has prayed the court to allow a compensation of Rs.1 crore. He filed the case through his lawyer Mukesh Kardam.
