New Delhi, Feb 10:Frenzied victory celebrations erupted as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supporters burst crackers, beat drums and danced to commemorate the Arvind Kejriwal-led party heading for a landslide in the Delhi assembly polls.

The biggest celebration could be witnessed at the AAP headquarters at East Patel Nagar in west Delhi where thousands of party supporters and workers cheered every time the party's tally in the leading candidates' list increased.

Many waved AAP flags and others held photographs of AAP's convenor and former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The party leaders also wished the world must take a note of their triumph over the ruling national party Bharatiya Janata Party in the Feb 7 assemly elections.

"The world is watching as we win," party leader Kumar Vishwas said.

AAP office was decorated with balloons, and flower petals were showered as supporters celebrated.

However, the message from a stage built at the spot suggested to remain "humble" as the party appeared heading towards a clear majority.

"This is a mandate against indecent politics. Wherever our friends are winning, we do not have to show anyone down," party leader Sanjay Singh said.

"We have to be humble and and work for the people," he added.

AAP's MP Bhagwant Mann gave a similar message: "We must not become arrogant."

Hundreds of AAP supporters were seen waiving the national flag while raising slogans in support of Kejriwal and AAP.

A giant screen, meanwhile, kept all congregated supporters updated, with the results forecasting a five-year term for the AAP to rule and offer Delhi an ordinary people's government in true sense.
