Hit by Kerala's controversial businessman, security guard dies
 Thrissur (Kerala), Feb 16
 A security guard,
battling for his life after he was run over by a controversial
businessman's car in Kerala in December, died Monday.
Chandra
Bose, 47, was working as a security guard in a posh villa complex near
here when he stopped Muhammed Nisham, owner of the Kings Group of
Companies, Dec 29 after the latter visited the complex in a Hummer car
in the middle of the night.
Agitated over being stopped by the security guard, Nisham knocked him down with his Hummer leaving him seriously injured.
The
case created a furore and the state government announced it would bear
the wounded guard's medical expenses. The police arrested the
businessman who remains in judicial custody.
Following Bose's death, the police said, Nisham would be charged with murder.
Four surgeries were carried out in the last 48 days to save Bose's life, but he died Monday.
Nisham has not been a stranger to controversies.
Nisham
was earlier arrested after four young girls and an upcoming film actor
was taken into custody from his apartment in Kochi for participating in a
rave party, where cocaine was used.
Nisham also courted trouble
after his seven-year-old son drove his car and this was put up on the
social media. In another incident, he locked a policewoman in a vehicle
for checking his vehicle and verbally abused her.
The Left opposition has called for a local shutdown to protest the security guard's death in his home town near here.
