'Haraamkhor', 'Dhanak' to be shown at IFFLA

Shlok Sharma's
"Haraamkhor" and Nagesh Kukunoor's "Dhanak" will be the opening and
closing films of the 13th annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles
(IFFLA) respectively.
The world premiere of "Haraamkhor," written
and directed by Sharma and starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, will be held
at the opening of the gala here on April 8, while the US premiere of
Kukunoor's award-winning "Dhanak" will close the festival on April 12,
reports variety.com.
The filmmakers, actor Nawazuddin and "Haraamkhor" producer Guneet Monga will attend the festival.
"Haraamkhor"
tells the story of a young student falling for a 15-year-old classmate
and his efforts to win her affection. However, the girl is found to be
having an affair with her teacher, played by Nawazuddin.
"Dhanak"
is a story about a sister leading her blind 9-year-old brother across
Rajasthan in an attempt to meet Bollywood star Shah Rukh Kahn, with the
promise that he'll get his vision back before his birthday.
The festival's complete lineup will be announced on March 10.
