No clarity yet on 'Bangalore Days' remake
Chennai, March 7
The fate of the Tamil and
Telugu remake of Malayalam blockbuster "Bangalore Days" is still unclear
despite the association of popular names like Nithya Menen, Sri Divya,
Rana Daggubati, Arya, Sharwanand, Simhaa and Varun Tej.
PVP
Cinema and Dil Raju jointly acquired the film's remake rights last year.
But since then, there has been no official announcement on the
development of the project.
"The makers are on the lookout for
suitable actors who could be part of both versions of the film. Instead
of casting different actors to be part of the Tamil and Telugu versions
of the remake, PVP is planning to rope in actors who are popular in both
the industries," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
The latest buzz is that actress Nayantara has been roped in to play an important role.
"It's
too early to talk about the cast because nothing has been finalised
yet. The makers will officially announce the cast along with the
director soon," said the source.
"Bangalore Days" was one of the
biggest Malayalam hits of 2014. It was the story of three cousins who
move to Bangalore from Kerala.
