Adnan Sami Spectacular, a huge success in Chicago

Chicago IL: With one of the nation's largest Indo and Pakistani American communities, Chicago is a regular stop for some of the world's leading South Asian performers, but for Adnan Sami it's like coming back home. His 2013 U.S. tour sparked all over USA.Adnan Sami 2015 Tour due to popular demand of South Asian Community. Adnan Sami live concert was a huge success in Chicago, organized by Live2U Entertainment (Surendra, Sonia and Pyrus Karla) a on Friday, March 27, 2015 at the prestigious Sears Center, 2015 at Sears Center, 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway, Hoffman Estates, IL. 

The multi-talented pianist, singer, composer, actor, and musician, also reputed to be the world’s fastest keyboardist, was back in Chicago with a spectacular new show. The great singing sensation Adnan Sami mesmerized an enthusiastic large crowd for about 3 hours.

As one of the nation's leading concert promoters, his events have spanned the northeast and northwest and included most every major Bollywood artist in the industry. 

Love has no limits, truth has no confines, and music knows no barriers. These may seem like lofty ideals, but they are standing pillars of life, of which we see, testimonies time and again power of music –melody, rhythm and devotion are all you need to produce a masterpiece from which no one can stay away. This may be why music is truly the only universal experience that can touch everyone. 

British-born 39-year old Sami is of Pakistani origin, currently holds Canadian citizenship, and lives in Mumbai, India. His style merges Asian and Western music styles and instrumentation and ranges from classical to jazz to modern pop-rock. The first person to play Indian Classical music on the electric piano, Sami is featured in a documentary recently commissioned by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office amongst the ten most famous names from India and Pakistan, who have influenced Asian culture in the UK over the last fifty years. He is committed to experimenting with new styles and forms rather than be taken hostage by past successes. 

The show was hosted by Atlanta-based Playback Singer, Songwriter Rekha Pallath. Rekha welcomed the excited audiences and set the right mood for the concert. She began the evening with her renditions of timeless hit songs like Mar Jawan(Fashion), Kaisee paheli Zindagani (Parineeta) and Dum maro Dum (Hare Rama Hare Krishna). Rekha's versatile singing and lively personality was greatly appreciated by the audience. With her unique poetic hosting ability she engaged the crowd and set the stage for Adnan Sami. Rekha continues to tour with Adnan Sami to several other prominent cities in North America and Canada.

 

Every year Indian-Americans and Pakistani-Americans come together to enjoy Bollywood Concerts - a symbol of peace, brotherhood and unity, amidst the current chaos of the world. Men and Women dressed up, sing and dance to the popular tunes of Bollywood. This happened again in Chicago. The great singing sensation Adnan Sami started by singing "Allahu Akbar" and showing his virtuosity on the keyboard. He went on to sing the following songs: Mehbooba mehbooba, Dil kya kare, Dil keh raha hai, Chain mujhe ab aaye na, Sun zara, Roshni kahaan meri, Mere khuda, Ishq hota nahin, Ek ajnabee se, Meri baahon main, Kuch lafdaa hai, Udi udi, Ishkan ishkan ho gaya, Naino se naino ko mila, Kabhi toh nazar milaao, Yeh zamin ruk jaaye, Bheegee bheegee raaton main, and finally brought the curtain down with his famous song Lift kara de. 

On Half time Karl Karla thanked to all sponsors and introduce his team. His team work so hard for the success of this show. He invited guest of honor and his team on stage. Iftekhar Shareef was guest of honor, took to center stage at half time along with Consul General of India at Chicago Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, Mrs. Sayeed, Karla family, and Dr. Harjinder Khaira, thanked Karla family for promoting Indian culture to our second generation here in Chicago. Iftekhar Shareef recollecting his friendship with Adnan Sami for past 7 years honored Adnan Sami with a tri-color Indian Kandhwa wishing him good-lucks. Surender Karla also honored the Consul General Dr. Ausaf Sayeed with a shawl and thanked him for taking time out from his busy schedule to attend the event. 

"Recently the world famous 'Wonder of the World' the Taj Mahal completed its 350 years of existence. In order to mark this historic occasion, the Government of India organized a yearlong festivities which culminated with a once in a life time solo concert performance by Adnan on the final Grand finale night in front of the Taj Mahal. After this performance, the Indian media dubbed Adnan the "Sultan of Music". In 2013, Adnan was honored with the Brand Laureate International Brand Personality award by the President of The Brand Laureate, Dr KK Johan, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia" said by Iftekhar Shareef a prominent community leader.   

Rina Rockers group performed at the Adnan Sami concert was choreographed by Mrs. Rina Thakur. The group consisted of 13 dancers dancing to a medley of 3 beautiful songs sung by Mr. Adnan Sami : Tera Chehra Jab Nazar Aaye(Music Album: Tera Chehra) , Pal Do Pal Pyar Ka(Music Album : Teri Kasam) and Salaam-e-Ishq (Salaam-e-Ishq movie). The performance was about the different phases of love that one experiences in life. The group made impressive use of Adnan Sami songs as the backdrop to bring out the emotions associated with each phase. The dance moves had various flavors and the colorful costumes added an element of sparkle to the whole performance. It was a great platform for showcasing local talent. The audience was mesmerized with the wonderful performance the whole team put together.

After the concert, Sami thanked his musicians: Pawankumar (guitar), Deepak and Vishal (keyboards), Shyamraaj (saxophone), Abdul (flute), Gaurav Chopra and Roosvelt (sound). Launched in Chicago, the concert tour will take Sami to Houston, New Jersey, Washington DC, Boston, and the Bay Area.
