Islamabad, May 1 At least 27 militants and five security
personnel were killed on Thursday during a military operation in Khyber Agency,
a tribal area in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas region of Pakistan,
media reported.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday said several militant
hideouts were destroyed in the operation Khyber-II in Sandhapal, Tordara,
Kandwala and Mehrban Kaley areas of Khyber Agency, the ARY news reported.
At least 27 militants were killed as result of recent strikes, the statement
said.
Five security personnel, including a captain, were also killed during the
operation.
