Kathmandu, May 5 The death toll in Nepal's April 25 earthquake
has risen to 7,557, the home ministry announced on Tuesday.
As many as 10,718 buildings were destroyed in the massive earthquake while
14,741 sustained partial damage, the ministry said.
A total of 191,058 houses have been flattened and 175,162 partially devastated.
The district worst hit in the 7.9 magnitude disaster is Sindhupalchowk, which
recorded 2,911 fatalities, while 1,202 people have died in Kathmandu district,
the ministry said.
