Indian store clerk charged for asking kids to show him their 'underwear and privates' for cash

Bipinkumar Patel, 35, of Huntington, a convenience store clerk on Long Island, New York, was arrested after he allegedly offered four young pre-teens money to show him their “underwear and private parts,” The Daily News reported quoting the Suffolk County Police official.

Patel is now facing four counts of endangering the welfare of a child for the indecent proposal that took place at Jericho Convenience on Jericho Turnpike, where he works, officials said.

Two boys and two girls between 11 and 14 years old were inside the store at 7:20 p.m. when Patel approached them and asked if each of them were wearing underwear, cops said.

When the kids answered in the affirmative, Patel offered cash to show him their underwear or reveal their privates, officials said.

The kids called police, who took Patel into custody without incident. He was ultimately released, but has to return to court and respond to the charges in July, officials said
