New Delhi, May 31
There cannot be any talks with Pakistan against the backdrop of violence, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said on Sunday.

"There is no flip-flop on Pakistan policy... is very clear... no talks with violence as backdrop," Sushma Swaraj said at a press conference to mark one year of Narendra Modi-led NDA government.

"All three - home ministry, defence ministry and external affairs ministry work together," she said.

In response to a question on resuming cricket ties with Pakistan, the minister said: "No decision has been taken."

Government's foreign policy 'very successful': Sushma Swaraj

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj asserted on Sunday that the NDA government's foreign policy was "very successful" with India having connected with 101 countries in the past one year.

"Government's foreign policy based on three pillars of 'sampark, samvad and parinam' (contact, dialogue, and results)... In one year, we have connected with 101 countries," Sushma Swaraj said addressing a press conference on Sunday.

She said the contacts were made either by visiting the countries, or having their leaders visit India, or dialogues on the sidelines of multilateral conferences. "Our foreign policy is very successful...."

The minister also said that there was no competition between her and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over foreign visits. "A pro-active PM is a support, not a challenge," she said.
