Kejriwal, Tomar should resign: Congress
New Delhi:The Congress on Tuesday demanded Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal resign on moral grounds and ensures his party leader Jitender Singh Tomar also steps down as law minister after police arrested him in a fake degree case.
Senior Congress leader Ajay Maken, speaking to reporters here, said Kejriwal and others have been raising issues of maintaining high standards in public life. "What happened to them now?"
"They used to talk about transparency and honesty but their own law minister has been caught for possessing a fake law degree," he said.
"Arvind Kejriwal should own up moral responsibility (for his law minister) and should resign. He should also ensure that the law minister also resigns," Maken said.
