Authorities in Sedona, Arizona say a fourth person has died after a crash caused by a driver who fatally shot himself behind the wheel.

Sedona police say 29-year-old Swapna Ponnambalam of Phoenix died Tuesday at Flagstaff Medical Center.

Ponnambalam, her husband and her mother were traveling on state Route 89A Sunday when a car driven by 48-year-old Ross "Scott" Willoughby crossed the center line.

Willoughby's Jeep Cherokee struck the family's Toyota Prius head-on.

The Coconino County medical examiner determined Willoughby died when he shot himself before the crash.

Police say 33-year-old Moorthy Somashundarum and 66-year-old Bhuvaneswari Ponnanbalam died at the scene. The mother was a resident of India.

Authorities had been searching for Willoughby at the time of the crash because of reports he was suicidal.
