Pradeep Kumar Sinha assumes charge as cabinet secretary
New Delhi, June 13
Pradeep Kumar Sinha, an Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS officer of the 1977 batch, on Saturday assumed charge as the cabinet secretary.
He took over from Ajit Kumar Seth.
Sinha
was earlier Officer On Special Duty (OSD) in the cabinet secretariat.
He has served in different capacities in the Government of India as well
as in the states, an official release issued here said.
Sinha,
who was appointed the new cabinet secretary on May 29, has served in
several union ministries, including shipping and petroleum and natural
gas.
