Five youth held in Bengaluru for gang-raping minor
Bengaluru, June 18 Five youth were arrested on Thursday for the alleged gang-rape of a 15-year-old girl here, a police official said.
"The accused, an acquaintance, and his friends were arrested after the victim filed a complaint that she was sexually abused by them at a building under construction in the area," Additional Commissioner of Police C.H. Pratap Reddy told reporters.
A case has been registered against all the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2013.
"Preliminary investigation reveals that the victim's friend lured her for dinner on Wednesday and later took her to the construction site with his four friends and where they allegedly raped her in turns," Reddy added.
