Indian equities open higher in Monday's morning trade
Mumbai, June 22 A benchmark index for Indian equities, the sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on Monday opened higher and was trading at 27,485.75 points some 25 minutes after the opening bell.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading higher, at 8,274.70 points, with a gain of 49.75 points or 0.60 percent.
The 30-share Sensex opened at 27,457.41 points, against the previous close at 27,427.19 points. At 9.40 a.m. it was ruling at 27,505.57 points, with a gain of 189.40 points, or 0.69 percent.
