BJP legislator breaks mike in Delhi assembly
New Delhi, June 30
The last day of the budget
session in the Delhi assembly witnessed uproar on Tuesday when a BJP
legislator broke the mike alleging it had been turned off.
A
visibly livid O.P. Sharma broke the mike at his desk when the leader of
the opposition, Vijender Gupta, alleged his mike was being turned off
when he interrupted or asked questions.
"Our mikes are being turned off whenever we speak in the assembly. This cannot go on," Gupta said.
Sharma joined Gupta over the issue and the broke the mike on his desk.
AAP legislators slammed Sharma's act, demanding an apology from him for damaging government property.
