Attri-Reddy rise in badminton rankings
New Delhi, July 30 Indian men's doubles shuttlers Manu Attri and B. Sumeeth Reddy rose three places to reach their career-best ranking of No.17 in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released on Thursday.
The climb comes after some brilliant performances in the international circuit lately.
Meanwhile, rest of the Indian shuttlers maintained their positions in their respective categories.
Kidambi Srikanth, reigning Commonwealth Games champion Parupalli Kashyap and H.S. Prannoy are ranked third, 10th and 12th in men's singles.
Indian ace Saina Nehwal is still No.2 while double World Championship bronze medallist P.V. Sindhu is 13th.
Women's doubles pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa are placed at No.12.
There is no Indian representation in the top-25 of mixed doubles.
The World Championships start in Jakarta on August 10.
