Saina in maiden badminton Worlds final
Jakarta, Aug 15: World No.2 shuttler Saina Nehwal became the first Indian to enter the final of the badminton World Championships, defeating local girl Lindaweni Fanetri 21-17, 21-17 in the semi-final here on Saturday.
Saina won the first game 21-17 and maintained her composure, utilising her superior experience to clinch the second set and the match 21-17.
She will face defending champion and top seed Spaniard Carolina Marin in the summit clash.
