Naga Chaitanya in Telugu remake of 'Premam'
Chennai, Aug 20 Actor Naga Chaitanya will star in the yet-untitled Telugu remake of the latest Malayalam blockbuster "Premam".
"Chaitanya will essay the role originally played by Nivin Pauly. Chandoo Mondeti, who shot to fame with the Telugu thriller 'Karthikeya', will direct the remake," a source privy to the development told IANS.
S. Radha Krishna of Haarika and Hassine creations banner will produce the film.
The rest of the cast is in the process of being finalized. The project is expected to go on floors later this year or in early 2016.
"Premam", which has emerged as one of the biggest Malayalam hits, is the coming-of-age love story of its protagonist spanning through over a decade at different stages in life.
Naga Chaitanya is currently busy shooting for a yet-untitled Telugu action-drama with Gautham Vasudev Menon.
