Six killed in Bihar boat capsize
Patna:At least six people, including two women, were killed and six were missing when a boat capsized in the Sone river in Bihar's Rohtas district, police said on Thursday.
"Three bodies have been recovered from the river by villagers and three others, who were rescued in a critical condition, died in the hospital," a police officer said.
Five others are still missing, he added.
According to police, 15 people were on board the boat when it capsized near Dehri On Sone town, 159 km from here.
"Four people swam to safety with the help of locals and are admitted in hospital"
District official Pankaj Patel said the government would give a compensation of Rs.4 lakh to the kin of the dead.
