Modi should act on his promises: Rahul
Jammu, Aug 26 Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of centralising decision-making, and said he should act upon his promises.
"Modi promised OROP. Our ex-servicemen, our soldiers are on a hunger strike. The prime minister should take action," said Gandhi, who is on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
He said Modi had promised to remove corruption and fixing the economy and "he should start".
"Only one gentleman is allowed to speak, only one gentleman is allowed to make promises," Gandhi said in an apparent reference to Modi.
Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi, immediately after landing at Jammu airport, flew in a helicopter to the Balakote area of the LoC in Poonch district where six people were killed in Pakistan shelling and firing on August 15.
Gandhi is scheduled to visit the Kashmir Valley on Thursday. He would also visit the Ladakh region of the state.
