Sensex gains 124 points in pre-noon trade
Mumbai, Sep 8 A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip BSE Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Tuesday gained 123.80 points or 0.50 percent during the pre-noon session.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 39.90 points or 0.53 percent up at 7,598.70 points.
The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 24,972.01 points, was trading at 25,017.61 points (at 11.51 a.m.) in the pre-noon session -- up 123.80 points or 0.50 percent from the previous day's close at 24,893.81 points.
The Sensex has touched a high of 25,018.90 points and a low of 24,833.54 points in the trade so far.
