Sensex surges 388 points in early session
Mumbai, Sep 9 A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Wednesday surged 388.43 points or 1.53 percent during the morning session.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 118.70 points or 1.54 percent up at 7,806.95 points.
The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 25,682.87 points, was trading at 25,706.30 points (at 9.19 a.m.) in the early session, up 388.43 points or 1.53 percent from the previous day's close at 25,317.87 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 25,753.93 points and a low of 25,682.87 points in the trade so far.
