I'm a proud Hindu: Rishi Kapoor hits back at trolls
Mumbai, Sep 14
Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor
minces no words when it comes to expressing his views on sensitive
matters -- be it blind religious beliefs as well as the meat and beef
bans. That, he says, does not make him "anti-Hindu".
Rishi got in
a Twitter spat with a user, who wrote: "@chintskap Fools like Rishi
kapoor eat beef; have a mini church at home and then call themselves a
Hindu and comment on Hindu Saints. Think!"
The "Bobby" actor retorted: "What I do, eat, drink or pray is none of your business."
Rishi,
who has been vocal about eating beef in the past, then added: "There's a
perception that I am anti-Hindu. Sad. I am a 'Proud' two time a day
praying Hindu. But I respect other faiths too. I just say the truth."
In
May, the Maharashtra government banned beef. The 63-year-old actor then
landed in a soup after tweeting that he is a "beef eating Hindu".
"I
am angry. Why do you equate food with religion?? I am a beef eating
Hindu. Does that mean I am less God fearing than a non eater? Think!!,"
he tweeted back then.
