Mumbai: A Mumbai court on Monday extended the judicial custody of all three accused in Sheena Bora\'s murder case till October 19.

The accused are Indrani Mukerjea, the victim\'s mother, Indrani\'s ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamvar Rai. Their last judicial custody of 14 days ended on Monday.

The defence and prosecution lawyers were present in the court while Khanna and Rai appeared over video link.

Indrani, who was not present, is currently in a government hospital recuperating after an undetermined illness.

She was rushed to Sir J.J. Hospital on Friday following a suspected drug overdose.

Last month, the high-profile murder case was taken away from Mumbai Police and transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation as the Maharashtra government wanted to ensure a free and impartial probe.

Sheena Bora was murdered on April 24, 2012, allegedly by Indrani, Khanna and Rai who disposed off her partly burnt body in the forests in Raigad district.

The accused were arrested from Mumbai and Kolkata in September.
