Centre's nod to Kerala tourism proposal
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 6 The central government has cleared the Kerala Tourism Department's proposal to create world-class infrastructure in Pathanamthitta-Gavi-Vagamon-Thekkady region of the southern state.
The country's first 150-km Mega Tourism Circuit would have a host of new facilities such as trekking, archery and rock climbing.
It will be developed at a cost of Rs.95 crore under the new 'Swadesh Darshan' scheme of the union tourism ministry, said state Tourism Minister A.P. Anilkumar here on Friday.
