Modi leaves Turkey for India
Antalya (Turkey), Nov 16 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday left for New Delhi at the conclusion of the two-day G20 Summit here.
“PM @narendramodi leaves for Delhi after the @G20Turkey2015 Summit,†PMO India tweeted.
“Goodbye Turkey! After successful participation in @G20Turkey2015 PM @narendramodi heads homes,†tweeted Vikas Swarup, spokesperson of the external affairs ministry.
Modi raised the issues of terrorism, climate change and downturn in global trade, among others, at the summit during a number of working sessions.
Prior to reaching Turkey, Modi made a three-day bilateral visit to Britain from November 12 during which a civil nuclear deal was clinched and commercial deals worth $14 billion were signed.
Modi also became the first Indian prime minister to address a joint session of the British parliament besides delivering a speech to the City of London to attract investors to India.
In a signal honour to India, Modi was hosted for a luncheon banquet by Queen Elizabeth II on Friday.
The highlight of the visit was Modi's address to the Indian diaspora in Britain at London's Wembley Stadium on Friday night which was attended by around 60,000 people.
