Lalu's daughter Misa wants Modi to apologise

Patna, Dec 5
RJD chief Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti on Saturday demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top BJP leaders should apologise to nearly 11 crore people of Bihar for falsely stating the state's economy was in a poor shape.
Misa Bharti, a doctor-turned-politician and one of the outspoken Rashtriya Janata Dal leaders, on Saturday targeted Modi and BJP leaders for misleading people in the wake of the latest findings of the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog.
According to the latest NITI Aayog report, Bihar recorded a gross state domestic product (GSDP) of 17.6 percent in 2014-15, emerging as the fastest growing state in the country.
"Modi and his team of BJP leaders should tender public apology to people of Bihar for misleading and making false statement on state's economy," she said.
Bharti, one of the star campaigners of the Grand Alliance of Janata Dal-United, Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress, that swept the polls last month in the Bihar assembly elections , said she was happy that NITI Aayog's report exposed the BJP again.
She said the report has also proved state BJP leaders wrong in saying Bihar's growth rate slowed after the BJP was dumped from the government by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
"Bihar has recorded 17.5 percent GDP growth when RJD was supporting the JD-U led government in the state," Bharti pointed out.
