Kejriwal refuses to give in to BJP's apology demand
New Delhi, Dec 28 A day after the BJP sought an apology from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his allegations against Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over the DDCA row, the Aam Aadmi Party convener on Monday said he would not oblige the BJP with an apology.
The AAP leader took to Twitter to take a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) irregularities and defamation case.
"BJP almost begging me for an apology. Sorry. I won't oblige them. Let Jaitley ji be cross-examined in defamation cases. Let truth prevail," Kejriwal tweeted.
"No clean chit ever given by any Del govt probe. That report confirmed several instances of wrongdoings but did not fix responsibility," he said in another tweet.
"It didn't mention ANYONE's name n recommended Enquiry Commission to fix responsibility, which we have done now," he said in another tweet.
The BJP on Sunday sought a public apology from Kejriwal for levelling allegations against Jaitley, noting that there was no mention of the finance minister in the report of the city government's inquiry panel into DDCA affairs.
The AAP leader retorted by asking why Jaitley was "afraid" of a probe if he had done no wrong?
