AAP accuses Jaitley of covering up DDCA corruption
New Delhi, Dec 30 The AAP on Wednesday said that BJP leader and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was aware of irregularities in Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) and tried to influence the ongoing probe.
Citing documents, Aam Aadmi Party leader Ashutosh said that Jaitley wrote a letter to Delhi Police asking them to close the entire investigation following the first information reports on the Syndicate Bank Cricket Club bungling case, which is part of the DDCA irregularities.
"Jaitley was aware of corruption going in the DDCA but he tried to cover up the matter," said Ashutosh.
He said: "Jaitley misused his position as (then) leader of opposition of the Rajya Sabha to pressurise Delhi Police (on DDCA issue)."
Demanding Jaitley's resignation, Ashutosh said Jaitley was fully involved in DDCA matters and also tried to influence investigation.
