Madrid, Jan 9  New Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has said that his side's star forward Cristiano Ronaldo will not be leaving the club any time soon.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal had said a few months back that he wanted to have Ronaldo back at Old Trafford where he had played from 2003-2009.

"Cristiano is more than non-transferable," Zidane was quoted as saying by the BBC on Friday.

"He is the soul of the team. He's going nowhere."

In November last year, van Gaal had said: "We are looking at all players, not just Ronaldo. But these players are mostly un-gettable.

"With Ronaldo, let's wait and hope."

The Portuguese international and three-time Ballon d-Or winner broke former Spain striker Raul González's record of 323 goals for Real earlier this season.

With the Spanish giants, Ronaldo has won one La Liga title, a Champions League crown and two Spanish Cup titles in almost seven years.
