Sonia, Rahul meet NSUI members over win in UP varsities
New Delhi, Feb 4
Members of the NSUI from Uttar Pradesh on Thursday met Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party vice president Rahul Gandhi following their victory in some university elections in the state.
A press release from the National Students Union of India, which is affiliated to the Congress, said the student leaders were invited following the NSUI's performance in polls in universities like Kashi Vidyapeeth, Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Meerut University and Agra University.
The two Congress leaders congratulated the winning candidates and activists "for their hard work and dedication".
