CPI-M, Congress alliance will not impact Trinamool: Sougata Roy
Kolkata, Feb 21 The likely tie-up between the Congress and the Left Front will not have any impact on Trinamool Congress' prospects in the upcoming West Bengal assembly polls, party MP Sougata Roy said on Sunday.
He argued that the Trinamool has emerged victorious by contesting several elections in the immediate past alone.
"Any such alliance between CPI-M (Communist Party of India-Marxist which spearheads the Left Front) and Congress will not have any impact on Trinamool's prospects.
"If you see our records, the party has emerged victorious in the last few polls with good margins, going alone against the opposition parties," he said on the sidelines of a programme here.
Roy also claimed the Congress votes will not be transferred to the CPI-M.
