India win Asia Cup T20 opener against Bangladesh
Mirpur (Bangladesh), Feb 24 India defeated Bangladesh by 45 runs in the Asia Cup opener at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium here on Wednesday.
Put in to bat, India scored 166/6 in 20 overs with opener Rohit Sharma scoring 83 runs. In reply, Bangladesh folded for 121/7 in their quota of 20 overs.
This is the first time the tournament is being played in the Twenty20 format.
