TANA congratulates National film award winners

Dr. V. Chowdary Jampala, president of the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) congratulated director SS Rajamouli, producer Sobhu Yarlagadda and Arka Media Works for winning the Swarna Kamal Award for the Best National Feature Film in the 63rd National Film awards, characterizing it as a milestone for Telugu film industry.  Dr. Jampala extended his congratulations to director Krish Jagarlamudi  and producer Y Rajeev Reddy, for winning the Best Regional Film Award in Telugu for their film Kanche.

Dr. Jampala noted that Rajamouli and Krish demonstrated that with vision, aspiration and dedication, Telugu cinema can compete at national and international level without compromising on quality and wholesome family entertainment. He hoped that these films signal the beginning of a new era in Telugu films. 

Dr. Jampala also congratulated writer Vijayendra Prasad, who has the unique distinction of writing the stories for both the National Best Feature Film (Bahubali) and  the Best Popular Film with Wholesome Entertainment (Bajrangi Bhaijaan) award winners.

"North American Telugu people are proud of these achievements and look forward to another golden age of Telugu cinema", remarked Dr. Jampala.
