Kamal Haasan off to US for shooting of 'Sabaash Naidu'
Chennai, May 24
Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan left for Los Angeles, US, on Tuesday to start regular shooting of his upcoming trilingual film "Sabaash Naidu", which also features his daughters Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan.
"Off to LA with 3 bound scripts. US team waits with sighs of relief. Anymore delay would have ruined all plans. All is wella for now (sic)," Haasan wrote on Twitter page on Tuesday.
To be helmed by Rajeev Kumar, the film is the spin-off of popular character Balram Naidu from Haasan's 2010 Tamil film "Dasavatharam".
Also starring Brahmanandam, Saurabh Shukla, Roger Narayanan and Ramya Krishnan, the film will be simultaneously shot in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
While the Telugu and Tamil versions are titled "Sabaash Naidu", the Hindi version is titled "Sabaash Kundu".
In the film, Shruti will play Haasan's daughter, while Akshara will assist Rajeev Kumar.
Slated to release on December 1 in all the three languages, the film has music by maestro Ilayaraja.
