Modi wishes Muslims on Ramadan
New Delhi, June 7 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday wished the Muslim community on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, also called Ramzan.
"As the holy month of Ramzan commences, I convey my greetings to the Muslim community," Modi said in a statement.
"May Ramzan deepen the bond of brotherhood and the spirit of harmony in our society," he said.
The holy month of Ramadan began after the sighting of the new moon on Monday evening.
