Mohanlal-starrer 'Oppam' to release in September

Thiruvananthapuram, June 14
Malayalam crime thriller "Oppam" (Together), a film from the hugely popular duo of ace director Priyadarshan and superstar Mohanlal, is packing up on Tuesday here, said the director. It is slated for release in September.
Priyadarshan told IANS that the shooting of the film ends here on Tuesday.
"This journey for the film has been hugely exciting and by evening, it will be all over. Then we are going for the post production and by early next month, we are back here for the dubbing," said Priyadarshan.
The duo, after the launch of two films of their close friend and leading producer G.Suresh Kumar at the Chitranjali Studio here, was rushing back to the shooting floor at the studio.
"The film is slated for release in September," said Priyadarshan.
In the film, Mohanlal plays the role of a blind man who is charged with murder and how he manages to come out of it.
Produced by Antony Perumbavoor, the film also features Samuthirakani, Vimala Raman, Anusree, Nedumudi Venu and Mamukkoya.
The duo is probably the most successful pair in the Malayalam film industry and has had numerous runaway hits right from the time they started in the late 1970s. The hits include "Boeing Boeing", "Thalavattam" and "Vellanakalude Nadu".
